At what stage of my pregnancy should I visit Baby Reflections?

The best and cutest facial images will be obtained during  the 28th – 32nd week of pregnancy.  If you are expecting twins, you should schedule your appointment around the 27th week, as twins have less room for movement.    By week 18, we can determine your baby’s sex.

Will the images be clear and what determines the quality of the images?

Several factors determine the quality of the images.  The most important is the position of your baby.  Other considerations are the amount of amniotic fluid (more is better) and the amount of tissue between the probe and the baby.

Do I have to schedule my appointment several weeks ahead of time?

It is best to call at least two weeks in advance.

Am I allowed to bring family/friends to the appointment?

Absolutely.  In fact, we encourage you to bring family or friends to the appointment.   The exam rooms are set up to accommodate visitors.

How long will the appointment take?

The average appointment is 30-45 minutes.  However, if we are unable to obtain clear images because of the baby’s position, you may need to allow additional time.   In any case, you will be given ample time with the technician to make sure you get the best results possible.

What kind of ultrasound machine will you be using?
